Antelope Canyon with Shaft of Light

Direct sunlight comes rarely to the bottom of Antelope Canyon, a slot canyon near Page, Arizona. During the summer months, the sun is directly overhead, and these shafts of light are more frequent. In our visit in March, only one sun-shaft was spotted. The light makes a dramatic spot on the sand of the canyon floor. Small particles of sand cause the shaft of light to be more visible.
