Janet and I just returned from Albany, NY.  Winter there has been hard with lots of snow and ice.  Although my photography was largely confined to family photos, I managed to get out for a few snaps.  I was fascinated by the many icicles I spotted dangling from rooftops.  The icicles in the first photo were caught on an overhang just outside a restaurant.  I love the way the sun captures the light reflected off the ice.

The second photo below was of a set of icicles dangling from the eves of an old brick building.  The slanting sun illuminated the ice in a way that contrasted with the dark bricks of the building.  Hope you enjoy!
