We had 6 inches of snow overnight in Fort Collins, and the snow was light and lingering. I took the opportunity to venture out for snow scenes, and was not disappointed. The first two photographs are from the Gardens at Spring Creek. The Gardens at Spring Creek are becoming a community treasure – all year round. In the spring, summer and fall, they feature blooming plants, beautiful fall foliage, and a heavily subscribed community garden. In the winter, the Gardens are decorated with festive lights for the holidays. I wandered around the Gardens until I found some colorful scenes. The first photo is of a display featuring red light bulbs and green twinkly bulbs. At mid-morning, the lights weren’t on, but the colors were bright and contrasted with the snow. The crabtree fruit had a subtle russet color, and caught my eye. The sign at City Park was a reminder of sunny days and green grass – long gone for the winter.
